| Jell-O, ginger and licorice for post surgery nausea |

Most, if not all, of us experienced post surgical nausea. Whether it is a slight queasiness or a half an hour with our heads in the toilet all of us can say that, after surgery, it is the worst. There are several drugs that our physicians can dole out but those can have some nasty side effects that make the whole miserable experience even worse.

| Post-hysterectomy Grief and Loss |

"I feel sad and I don't know why? After all I wanted a hysterectomy"
It is not uncommon or unnatural for a woman to feel sad and to have a sense of loss after a hysterectomy. Many women, even women who have chosen to not bear children, experience grief to some degree. Some of us find ourselves crying at the drop of a hat, or becoming angry at having a hysterectomy, even if we ourselves made the decision to have one.

| Boy is it good to be home!! |

So your surgery is over. Now begins the road to recovery. Coming home is probably the first step to real recovery. No more nurses, doctors and various hospital personnel to wake you up. You can eat what you want and be in the comfort of your own bed....or can you? Topics discussed in this section are The First Two Weeks, Sleeping, Eating, Going to the bathroom, Exercise, and Overdoing it
