Medical definitions and procedures These are general descriptions and guidelines of the various types of hysterectomies that are offered today. You will need to discuss with your doctor which one is best for you. The guidelines on recovery are the typical times women may resume activities. Check with your doctor in every case before you resume any kind of activity. Follow your doctors instructions on when it’s okay for YOU to do things. Everybody recovers at their own rate, so always check with your doctor before doing anything.
